"CE 'mark is a safety certification mark, which is regarded as a passport for manufacturers to open and enter the European market. CE stands for European Unification. In Europe, there is a regulatory body called EEA (European Economic Area) to verify the safety of its listed products.

The "CE" mark is a compulsory certification mark in the EU market. No matter the products produced by enterprises within the EU or by other countries, if they want to circulate freely in the EU market, they must be affixed with the "CE" mark to show that the products comply with the basic requirements of the EU Directive "New Methods for Technical Coordination and Standardization". This is a mandatory requirement of EU laws for products.

CE certification process:

1. Understand that the product is applicable to the EU CE Directive

First check which instructions apply to your product. If you have multiple instructions, you must apply for them all. Here are some examples:

Electronic equipment

Mechanics

Toys

Medical equipment

elevator

Personal protective equipment

2. Check whether the product meets specific requirements

Determine the extent to which the product meets the basic requirements of design and manufacturing in the use instructions.

3. Check whether the product must be participated by the certification body

Select the conformity assessment procedure from the options provided by the product directive. The Directive often uses a series of questions about the nature of products to classify the risk level, and refers to it as "conformity assessment procedure". Not only that, but also all the acceptable options that manufacturers can use to verify their products and affix the CE mark.

4. Conduct product test

Select the applicable standards and test methods for the products according to the EU notified body. Establish an EU authorized representative on your product.

5. Preparation of technical archives

The technical data shall include all necessary documents to help prove that the product has met all technical requirements.

6. Paste CE certification mark

Make a declaration of conformity and submit the information documents to the certification body. After obtaining the approval of the authority, affix the CE mark on your product after issuing the certificate.
